Hello again, this is the eighth week and I will give you an update about my team. So far we are meeting the expectations that we proposed, it’s good to work with people that have already experience in these kinds of projects, and also with the help of our mentors, the work is getting done.

I’m adding functionality that will improve the image quality of a picture of a record, so I’ll be learning how to incorporate a javascript function into a react component. Also, I learned a bit about modern web design, and hope I can translate the instructions that my mentors gave me.

I’m still practicing git because it’s key when working remotely. I’ll be starting a side project to learn react at my own pace, so stay tunned :)

Hello everyone! now it’s time to share my experiences through this week. First, I must say, thank God that we read about how to be vulnerable because I felt like I had no idea what I was doing. Sometimes I felt that I was making my team slow. Fortunately, until now they’ve been really patient with me. Also, my mentors, I always get surprised by how they managed to solve technical questions of our program, only by taking a brief look into our code.

I learned a lot of technologies, especially React, which is a Javascript library for building user interfaces. Modularity is the mantra of this library, where every functionality is Component-based, and you can create entire pages by adding up components. React have the advantage of work in a Virtual DOM
